Any known issues with Tiromel batch no. 230792, exp. 06.2025 ?

I'm trying to eliminate possible reasons for a significant reduction in physical and cognitive stamina and general functioning.

One possibility is a 'bad' batch of Tiromel, which I've been taking as monotherapy for many years from the same reliable supplier. Has anyone else noticed problems with this batch?

Thanks.

I've not seen anything mentioned recently... helvella

No - haven't seen anything. :-(

And when we do see comments about Tiromel, it tends to be simply that it seems weaker or stronger than some other product. But almost never includes batch details so there is little information for me to collect.

Ok, thanks anyway. 🙂

I am on the same batch and use by date. Been on them for a while. I have been struggling to lose weight for quite a while but that might be for various reasons. I am not getting vertigo which I get very quickly if my thyroid hormones are not right. Sorry not to be clearer. I am going to start a new batch to see if I start losing weight.

I thought the same thing last year. I was wondering why the same dose I’d been on for years was no longer working.

Firstly, I was told and read that Tiromel can be weaker than other brands. But there seemed to be other factors for me. One was that upon getting bloods done, my levels had dropped significantly to bottom/below bottom of range (after all being near the top 6 months previously). The other was that things seemed to improve upon changing my HRT protocol, so I believe my sex hormones being out of whack was a major factor. I’m still not 100% but so much better and believe I need some fine tuning.

Once I sorted my HRT, I then had to increase my T3 dose from 25mcg per day (been on for 15 years), to 62.5mcg. I did this slowly and had to also change timings until I found what worked.

Lastly, I’ve found that stress is having a huge affect on how I feel and my symptoms temporarily return very quickly when I’m stressed.

I hope you find some answers!

Thank you. I agree, HRT can have an impact on circulating thyroid hormones and a lot of women have to raise their T4/T3 dose while on it. I've had HRT waiting in a drawer for 18 months until I get the all-clear on other health issues. I really need to start it soon, as I'm years beyond menopause.

I agree that stress can have a very big impact on general health, and it's one of the factors I need to rule in or out.

Hill & DeniseR that's been really helpful, thank you!

I've been on a stable dose of HRT for 10 months but at least check my T3 had dropped from 6.4 to 4.8 and I couldn't work out why.

This explains a lot!

Denise- I can't believe you had to double your T3 dose! 😲 I'm on 30mcg a day now and was hesitant to increase on an already high dose but I'll give it a go and see how I go.

HiI've had issues recently, i posted a similar post a couple of months ago.

My batch doesn't match yours but I've gone from having no issues to batches being hit and miss.

I too have the same reliable source I've been using for some time.

I tried a different supplier and they turned out to be scammers, £163 down.

£163! 😨

The thing about Tiromel is that it has to be crunched to a powder in your mouth to aid absorption, since it has more fillers than other brands. It's been pretty problem-free for me, butI just needed to rule out batch problems to pinpoint the cause of my current issues. Some people have had substandard batches in the past.
