Without context, there’s no concern here. Eosinophils are related to allergies/hay fever… do you have allergies lately?
Of course a single number off a full blood count should never be analyzed in isolation. So take my reply with a grain of salt and use your judgement.
If helpful, here is a quick list of white blood cells and what they mean when elevated so you can evaluate your eosinophils in broader context. But again - a single eosinophil number doesn’t tell us much alone.
Neutrophils: bacterial and fungal
Lymphocytes: virus and cancer
Monocytes: chronic infections and autoimmune disease
Eosinophils: parasites and allergies
Basophils: chronic inflammation and allergies
Last time mine were checked I had a result of 0.43 x10^9/L [0.04 - 0.4], slightly above the reference range. No comment from GP but I found out: urgent referral if > 10; routine referral > 1.5.
