Help needed to interpret husband’s labs please

My brain is full of my own numbers and is now numb from staring at his. I could eventually make some sort of sense of them but at the moment don’t have the capacity and don’t trust myself to come to the right conclusion. I’d love to hear your thoughts

Since first testing in 2018 husband’s TSH has been everywhere. I believe it went up to 9 something once but no idea when that was and can’t find the report. Anyway, at some point GP prescribed levo but husband decided to wait a bit longer before taking it to see what would happen when he got his nutrients optimal. This he duly did and they’ve all been good to very good for a while. TPOab and Tgab are tested from time to time and remain normal. He still hasn’t started levo. Testing protocol is followed strictly

I have no idea what’s going on and really need some fresh eyes to help interpret this jumble please

hi Noelnoel, is that 04/22 an anomaly or an error? It doesn’t fit the pattern.

So no antibodies and no diagnosis?

What was the reason for not starting Levo?

Hi there

He’s one of those who will not take pharmaceuticals so dug his heels in about it but he also wanted to improve his nutrients first to see if it made a difference. We found out he has B12d so he’s been having injections and also had an iron infusion

He thought I was exaggerating when I attributed some of his symptoms to hypothyroidism and once he started feeling better said he didn’t need levo

4/22? Yes, it’s odd but if you mean is it a typo error, no, it isn’t. I’m intrigued by your “pattern” theory

Your question made me check it. I’m an idiot, it’s mine 😂

Don’t believe it, sorry about that

Keen to hear your thoughts still

You may not have seen my second reply because I sent it to myself!

You asked about 4/22 so I looked again. Somehow one of my reports got into his pile, so that “anomaly” is mine l. Have duly edited the list

Do you have any thoughts? Does anyone?

After another conversation last night he’s open to starting levo. Is his case clear cut?

Weird how silent everyone is …

hi again,

So the anomaly isn’t his so that makes sense.

Starting Levo would likely raise his FT4 and reduce his TSH but it’ll be a long slow journey of 6-8 weekly increases with regular testing and probably feeling worse before he feels better. Not an easy sell.

You’re so right, it hasn’t been an easy sell and at the point where he starts to feel worse (he feels well) he’s going to kick off. Unfortunately this is likely going to coincide with Christmas

Thank you for responding
