Lost membership

Hi I have been a member for some years but when I changed phones I couldn't sign in again even though I have the same phone number and email. Any suggestions? Or should I start again?

Did you have a different user name to the one you have rejoined with?

Good question. If Parrotia had a different user name, we may be able to at least point her at her previous posts.

If you contact the help centre they should be able to send you a password reminder or sort out the issue then you can always change the name 😏

But even if someone changes their name, they can look at old posts and replies from their new name/account.

For someone with lots of private messages, that really is an issue.

Hmm... I was thinking it gives us more to look back on rather than it all needing repeating? I've no idea how much or little Parrotia has previously shared, what's the issue with private messages?

Everyone can see all posts and replies. Only those in the conversations can see PMs.

So, if someone signs up again, they can look at all their old posts and replies - if they know their original member name. Just have to go to the old member profile and start looking.

But they will never have access to PMs under the old member name from their new member name.
