Bruises
I bruise very easily and have found that applying Arnica cream helps them becoming very noticeable.
Could your Vit D be low?
Bruising can very likely be iron anemia. My daughter knows her iron is low when her knees/legs look like she’s been in a paintball gun fight.
A very careful and methodical iron supplement plan fixes it for her.
Have you had an iron panel done?
hi. Do you know how low your platelet count is? Bruising is one of the main symptoms of low platelets particularly if it goes really low. I have low platelets. I have a blood test every 6 months. I was told if I noticed I was getting more bruises that I think is normal to go back to the GP. If you don’t mind me asking do you know why you have low platelets? Also, is there another GP in your practice you could see? I have learned with experience you really need to fight your corner with some GP’s. It’s your body and your health. Don’t let them dismiss your concerns. Good luck. I hope you manage to get some answers.

A low platelet count increases your risk of bruising. Has the cause of your low platelet count been investigated?
We need optimal Vit B12, folate and iron for blood cells to form inside bone marrow, and good platelet formation.
However, we also need optimal thyroid hormones to drive erythropoiesis, and hepatic and renal function where the hormone that regulates platelet production is formed.
Once you are better optimised with your meds and supplements, hopefully bruising will reduce. I had excessive bruising for years & years but it has now thankfully improved.
The doctor just doesn’t care! I’ve been going to see her and she was laughing at me! I demanded a thyroid scan and she reluctantly sent me ..They found 3 nodules ..FNA taken ..although suspicious..apparently Benign. I thought I should get my 19 year old son checked as he has had similar symptoms to me for last few years ..they have never suggested thyroid…only migraines ..I demanded he had thyroid scan ..I really wish I didn’t now as they are saying they think he has follicular cancer! I just can’t believe this is happening
Could be a good idea to look at the link below which lists several causes of bruising. Lets you consider if there could be any other causes.

It is possible to have acquired Von Willebrand syndrome in hypothyroidism - though there is little written about it.
you were planning on getting full thyroid and vitamin testing for yourself and your son
