is tsh too low? rt3 too high? Please help

I recently ran my thyroid labs and I got low TSH and high rT3. Trying to figure out future dosing.

I have been on levothyroxine for Hashimoto's at 75mcg + 1/2 pill of Thyroid-S per day for 3 years feeling pretty well with no scores much out of the ordinary.

But, about 5 months ago, I started feeling colder and lethargic and gaining weight. To check if an increase in Thyroid-S would help, in the last two months, I've alternated every other day between 1 entire pill of Thyroid-S and 1/2 pill of Thyroid-S. I still feel cold and lethargic, but in the last several weeks, I've started to get fast heart rates. I ran the thyroid labs this week to see how things are going.

FT3 3.7 (2.3 - 4.2)

FT4 1.3 (.8 - 1.8)

TSH .21 (0.4 - 4.5) *Low -4.63% checked on calculator

RT3 26 (8 - 25) *High

Any insights from anyone? I know very little about what is good since fortunately things were going okay until this point. When supplementing with thyroid-s, do many people get TSH scores in the lower range? Is this reverse T3 very bad?

Is TSH too low? It's fine! You shouldn't be dosing by the TSH, anyway because it's a bad indicator of thyroid status once it gets below 1. And it's going to be low when taking T3, because that's what T3 does: it lower TSH.

Is rT3 too high? It's totally irrelevant. Not even worth testing. Yes, it's high but it really doesn't matter because rT3 is inert and only stays in the system for a couple of hours before being converted isnto T2. And there are many, many reasons for high rT3, and only one of them has anything to do with thyroid. And that is when your FT4 is too high. Your FT4 is only 50% through the range, so that is not the cause of your high rT3 and you'll probably never find out what the cause is. But it doesn't matter.

What matters is the FT3.

FT3: 3.7 pmol/l (Range 2.3 - 4.2) 73.68%

So, that's ok. BUT what you're now doing wrong is taking a different dose of NDT on alternate days. You cannot do that with NDT because of the T3 content. If T3 is going to do what it's supposed to do you have to take the same dose every single day or you will confuse your body. Why can't you cut the tablets into 4 and take three quarters every day? That should work much better.

Are all your nutrients optimal? How about your cortisol?
