My good new GP has started to treat my hypothyroidism with T3. He wants me to eventually be taking 7.5mcg. Any suggestions for best pill size and makers. Thank you

Dosage
7.5mcgs is an odd dose size and how does he now how much you will need?
Did you have any luck sourcing Thybon Henning 20mcgs? Multiples of 5mcgs is usually the way to go.
5mcg tablets are very expensive indeed.
Your FT4 was pretty high, has he suggested to drop levo by 25mcgs?
Are you also taking levothyroxine?
7.5mcg T3-only is an odd thyroid hormone replacement dose
Lucky you to be offered T3 but 10mcg would make much more sense financially. You could split a easily sourced 20mcg tablet.
Of course, testing is vital as we’re all individuals & you’ll need to balance your T4 dose with your T3. I take 40 mcg only daily. I’d love to add in some T4 for balance but it doesn’t suit me. Hopefully your good doctor will be guided by blood tests & common sense.
it’ll most likely be expensive as it’s a less usual dose.
