Dear reader

we are moving home to a different area , I have been getting my T3 prescribed under the hospital who have been fantastic .

We are moving to Scarborough I am apprehensive on my medical care as it’s alien to me moving hospitals.

I know T3 is gold dust my current hospital have been fantastic at supplying me with my regular prescriptions.

Anyone use Scarborough ?

Kindest thanks.

Hello I recommend you investigate the ICB policy on prescribing. This is the link to the formulary I think you are under if you live in Scarborough. It may be you are able to get it through GP prescribing. But read up.

You can find your new local GP practice and see what they prescribe. If you have a choice find a practice that does prescribe.

Ask your endocrinologist to write letter to your new GP to arrange ongoing care and prescriptions via GP and for GP to arrange annual referral to thyroid specialist endocrinologist in new area

Humber & North Yorkshire ICB seem to be one of the more prolific prescribers 🤞

I don’t know specifically about Scarborough - but I’m in T3 from Harrogate hospital - I live in Leeds but opted to go to Harrogate as I know they were open to T3 - having said that the consultant who initially prescribed it has now retired but that was over a year ago and there has been no change - perhaps opting for Harrogate may work for you
