hello. I hope to have a realistic conversation at My Endo appointment on the telephone in September. - previously, I asked regarding T3 as as my conversion has never altered and stayed at bottom range even though My T4 went over range and as it is at the moment
I received a letter to tell me 'that there is only one hormone!!' I ask you?! so I just shut off for two years, but I am still with the same levels after doing a recent private blood test
is there anything I can pull up in print please? That could be recognised by this Endo at the hospital
, I will never give up trying to to receive possibly T3 by the NHS which I have always paid into since age 15 , unfortunately I seem to live in the wrong postcode area, I did buy T3 privately but I didn't feel happy that it was the genuine article
it makes me quite sad & angry and it was very patronising to then be told I have chronic fatigue instead! Forgive me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't seem to give a root cause as to why I wake up exhausted and sometimes in the day my eyes feel so heavy I have to sleep and have brain fog many many days, no energy ongoing
any advise welcome please?
Many thanks 🧡

If your Endo has written 'that there is only one hormone!!' then really its highly unlikely you're going to change their mind whatever evidence you put in front of them.
You could think about using a prescribing service such as Roseway Labs. Not too expensive to have a phone call then they can prescribe for you. You would then know the T3 is genuine and have help adjusting your dose.
On the NHS it really is a post code lottery, I'm not living in the right area myself and see a private Endo.
Often when an Endo does prescribe T3 they want TSH to be within range which in itself is an issue because that means the person will have to drop their levels too far.
Getting T3 prescribed can be a terrible nightmare both NHS & even sometimes privately. Its just not simple at all.
since taking hrt , for the first time my tsh has gone to 0.5 it was 4 or 5 !
But T3 still in bottom third and have symptoms, I take 125 Levo. T4 is at the top or over range so I figured I may start T3 and reduce Levo - my supps are ok
Reduce Levo by 25mcgs and add 5mcgs T3 initially, wait 2 weeks to see if thats OK and you feel alright, then add further 5mcgs at later time in day - late afternoon. test in 8 weeks.
