Hi again, I recently managed to get some more blood tests done including some vitamins as recommended by the amazing people on here. In my previous tests, my high antibody counts suggested that I have Hashimotos, my TSH this time round is 2.41. I don't take any medication yet. My cholesterol is high, my ferritin is high and the transf. % saturation is low. Vitamin D is borderline low. I have done Google checks but I am not really sure what to make of the results. Any suggestions? Do I need to do anything about these results? Thanks

New results
Please share actual results along with reference ranges, the whole iron panel too, B12, folate & D3.
These were the only tests that they would do, I still need to look into the private option. They are in Spanish but I think it is clear what is what.
Here is the other page
What time of day was the thyroid test? Did you fast that morning?
Are you vegan or vegetarian?
Transferrin Saturation : Your result = below range
• optimal is 35 to 45%
• higher end for men
Your Saturation is lower than optimal suggesting that your iron levels are too low.
Serum iron : According to the rt3-adrenals link rt3-adrenals.org/Iron_test_...
• 55 to 70% of the range
• higher end for men
Given that your result is 32% through the range and you are female I would say your result is too low, suggesting that you should supplement iron.
So even though your ferritin is high, that is your iron storage but your serum iron is too low.
Vit D - If you dont take a supplement then you would benefit from one. Buy a 3,000iu with K2 included.
Folate would benefit from a boost.
B12 is very low which could be explained by a vegan or vegetarian diet. You could alsk to be tested for coeliac disease which can cause malabsorbancy.
If you are eating meat:
B12 - do you have symptoms of B12 deficiency? The reference range for B12 is very wide and cut off point too low. theb12society.com/signs-and...
If you do then you should discuss this with your doctor for further tests for Pernicious Anaemia.
If not, then start with a methyl B12 sublingual spray or lozenge for a week, then add a good B complex. Once you run out of the separate B12 just continue with the B complex.

Yes I had the test at 9.15 and I had fasted. I am not vegan or vegetarian, in fact I eat a fair bit of meat. I have cut out gluten but haven't had a coeliac test. Reading this, I would say I do have some of these symptoms re B12 so I will look for these supplements too. I take a miltivitamin but I guess that isn't enough. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
In that case I would try and get tested for pernicious anaemia before starting any supplement containing B12.
You will need high dose supplements, see the ones I have recommended and compare labels with ones you can find. Best to look online, not in a supermarket.
Multivitamins are too lower dose which is just one of the reasons we dont recommend them here.
Hey there, vitamin D is not borderline, it’s not a ‘range’ as such with vitamin D. I would definitely recommend supplementing this. I’ve attached a screen shot for you, I think this puts you at deficient/potentially deficient.
I have Hashimoto’s too, I live a very outdoors life, we eat outside, etc. I eat meat and fish and eggs, although I don’t eat dairy. My D without supplementation is like yours. I have to take 4000iu all year round to keep it up near 100 where I need it to feel well. I take an oil drops version from Amazon D3 with K2.
I hope that helps, sorry I can’t comment on the other results as I don’t know enough.

I have spoken to my doctor today, and they recommend I do NOTHING, only more exercise, eat less fat. They don't even agree that I should be gluten-free. I should take absolutely no supplements, and of course, no medication and let's test TSH again in a year. So I feel really concerned, as I know many here do, about not being taken very seriously. She did say that in my record it now says I have Hashimotos, although I don't remember any doctor has ever told me that (only on here from my previous results).
