A modest number of people get Armour Thyroid (or Erfa Thyroid or, possibly, one of the other USA products) on NHS prescription.
It is referred to as "Levothyroxine sodium and liothyronine (0602010Z0)" - which would also include any synthetic combinations but they are prescribed even more rarely!

You can look around and see whether your area has anyone getting it.
We see lots of people told it cannot be prescribed at all - and that is wrong. But your own area might have imposed restrictions.
Osian4grain, Your question is likely to encourage personal messages to be sent to you telling you where you can buy Armour and other medications without prescription.

Getting Armour or other desiccated thyroid medications through the NHS is very rare. Yes, a few people have managed this, but success depends on various things, including whether your integrated care board (ICB) will fork out the cost for it (most will not), and whether any individual GP or endo is willing to take the responsibility of prescribing (most will not), as desiccated thyroid medications are unlicensed in the UK.
I do. Been on it for 16 years. Initially a private consult who then wrote to my GP who has prescribed it ever since.
