For those of you who are taking the above brand of T3, apparently Alliance Healthcare is the sole supplier of this particular brand of T3. I telephoned Alliance and there is a problem at the moment regarding distribution. It's stuck at the main depot waiting to be delivered to other smaller depots for distribution to pharmacies.
I also telephoned the company who manufacture this Liothyronine and there is no problem at this end. The hold up is solely due to Alliance's distribution problems.
This is an ongoing problem where this brand becomes out of stock. Over a period of 2 years I have had to change pharmacists three times chasing this brand where after a few months it becomes unobtainable.
I have telephoned numerous pharmacies, mostly independent, to try and get my prescription filled but they have either not heard of the medication, only receive from their suppliers what they send and have no control over what is sent or their supplier does not handle Advanz/Mercury Pharma.
One pharmacist told me he has this problem a lot with several patients regarding out of stock brands of Liothyronine.
Also, apparently Morningside is no longer available due to the cost to the Pharmacist. I was told Pharmacists only get paid £60 for Liothyronine and Morningside costs £160 which means the Pharmacist has to foot the £100 and obviously they are not prepared to do this.
I have tried Teva and was quite ill on it and I'm loathe to keep experimenting on different brands of T3. I just don't know what else to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I feel for you, I am experiencing the same problem and have spent the afternoon in an extreme state of stress, ringing around, pharmacies, suppliers, GP etc numerous times and all for nothing.
I feel like they don’t understand that some brands badly affect some of us. I was told by my pharmacy I am the only one of their patients taking T3 and no-one else has problems with brands! I wish I didn’t have problems with different brands and could take any old thing they throw at me.
Yes, I feel the same way you do. We shouldn't have to be feeling anxious and distressed whilst chasing a prescription medication from one pharmacy to another. It's unbelievably ludicrous the situation we are forced to be in.
Thanks for that SmallBlueThing I have used pharmacy2u before and they weren’t particularly easy to contact when I wanted to ensure they didn’t supply me with Teva levo, when I eventually got contact they said they couldn’t guarantee it! It certainly might be worth giving chemist-4-u.com a try.
It's the supplier who are not distributing the product. I've tried 15 other pharmacies and they more or less say the same thing. They're not getting it from the sole supplier - Alliance.
At least, that is what I understand but the whole group is in a bit of a mess and were trying to sell off the shops/pharmacies but I think that has failed.
I have been to BOOTS 3 times and they said they can't get through.
I called MPharma to be told there is stock available now and Alliance health care have it. However, Alliance would not help as i am not the whole seller.
After emailing them, I did finally manage to speak to someone at Alliance who guardedy told me it's being held up at their main depot. What is alarming is Alliance is the sole supplier of this particular T3. If they have problems with distribution then that's it. Unbelievable.
