Recent gp thyroid results : Hello ...i have... - Thyroid UK
Recent gp thyroid results
It could be central hypothyrodism. I’ll post a link to an article about it:
thyroidpatients.ca/2020/01/...
See if it describes your situation.
There are two others Dr Tania Smith has written which I will add:
thyroidpatients.ca/2021/05/...
thyroidpatients.ca/2020/01/...
The links are not working properly (people have been complaining about it) so I hope you can find them - very annoying. If you get on to the one that’s highlighted then put in central hypothyroidism in the search box they will all come up
Yes very possibly central hypothyroidism. Do get a private test to see your T3 level as well as the others to get the full picture.
Looking at your many previous posts with similar results, you obviously need a pituitary and thyroid specialist
Email Thyroid UK for list of recommend thyroid specialist endocrinologists...NHS and Private
tukadmin@thyroiduk.org
Some private endocrinologist won’t require letter of referral….
Many endocrinologist are currently doing consultations on zoom, so you can choose the one most suitable for you, not necessarily the one geographically closest
Gather up all your many previous blood tests
And a short summary of medical history and email to them before consultation
Presumably you are still working on improving low vitamin levels
Thank you. I'm takin a good b complex and iron as my ferritin is one off bottom of the range. I haven't tested my b12 and vit D for 2 years though. I will contact thyroid org regarding a zoom appointment it opens up more choice as sadly I'm in the north and many were in the south. Just so sick of feeling sick being ignored and told I'm ALL NORMAL and a hypochondriac

Hello after my blood test yesterday the gp didn’t won’t me to ask him questions about my hypothyroidism
I expect that is because he does not know the answers! Can you get a second opinion ? Or a private blood test?
