Hi,Are there any members using Dithyron atm?

Don't know much about it.....is it safe to use? Is the T3/T4 ratio correct?

I'm surprised you are asking as the most recent mentions have been from members saying they cannot get hold of any - or asking if it is available. If you have not already got some, or found a suitable supplier, I have my doubts you will find any.

There is no right T3/T4 ratio - just the ratio that YOU need.

It has 50 micrograms of levothyroxine to 12.5 micrograms of liothyronine. So approximately the same ratio as most desiccated thyroid. But sometimes those taking synthetic products feel that they are different in effect to somewhat similar doses of desiccated thyroid.

It is a product manufactured by a perfectly OK pharmaceutical company - Unipharma.

Hi,Thks for your reply. The reason I asked about Dithyron was: I had never heard of it and thought it might be a cheaper alternative to Thyroid-S (ndt) which I am having a lot of issues with atm.

I brought some for a friend when UniPharma T3 became hard to find. She said it was fine!

T3 DOSING - adding in some T4

1.How many of you are using a dosage of t3 lower than 70 mcg ( like 50-60)and are full replaced? 2.

Please would someone explain why some need to take T4 as well as T3?

T4 needed to convert to T3 anyway for it to be any use. So why take T4 if you are taking T3?
