B12 or B complex

Hi just wondering is it better to take b12 or complex for hypothyroidism? Thanks

Generally best to take a good B complex but some also need extra B12 depending on their ability to absorb

You could also consider adding nutritional yeast into your diet to up your B vitamins for a food based B vitamin boost. Make sure it's one with b12 though. How you do this is, of course, a personal choice, with pros and cons to each, I just wanted to give some different options.

Regardless of how you do it, make sure you do not take a b complex supplement for a few days before any thyroid testing. Biotin (B7) alters test and can give the appearance of a suppressed TSH.
