Vitamin B Complex

G'day everyone, hope you're all doing well I would appreciate your advice on the following question - I read somewhere that we should have a break from taking vitamin B complex, would this apply to us thyroid sufferers and if so, for how long?

Hiya Carri3, my endocrinologist advised me to take a weeks break around every 4 months from all the vitamins and recommended supplements I take including the B complex. It works for me and keeps me in all the recommended ranges advised here.

It’s not something I’d do unless my levels were in excellent shape

my GP asked me to stop everything for two weeks a few months ago. Worst idea ever. She actually apologised and said on reflection that was unnecessary and it’s taken months & £££ to get back up where I was.

I think for me the correct approach is to test and adjust and to go to maybe twice a week or every other day. Or maybe once a week. But it does depend on conditions for me, stress, exertion, flu, cycle, allergies , intolerance reactions, season all adjust my absorption and needs. Moving goal posts 🥅🥅🥅

If you are curious try one week and see how you feel, you can experiment 🔬 🧫 🧪

Thanks for your reply R, this sounds like good advice, I will cut it down to 3 times a week rather.
