It’s time for me to get another private prescription of Liothyronine. I’ve been taking Thybon Henning 20mcg for quite a few years. Does anyone know if there’s now a cheaper option?

Thybon Henning is the cheapest option and should cost around 50-60p per 20mcg tablet.
You could phone around the chemists on the Thyroid UK list of pharmacies for quotes.

First, do check the profile of the member that sent you the message. (You can find their profile by searching for their name in the member list here healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
Are they a long term member with an active forum posting history? (Just be cautious and check with admin)
Or are they a recently joined member with little or no posting history? (Do be very suspicious and check with admin)
**** Scammers even join our forum and post a 'fake' story about their thyroid journey, that includes mention of self sourcing their thyroid meds. This is to encourage members to ask them where they purchase their medication without prescription.****

like you I have been privately prescribed Liothyronine since I could no longer obtain it first on the nhs and then post brexit from German chemists. I went on to Tiromel in 25mmg tablets which is available over the counter from Turkish chemists for around £3 for 100 tablets.
A friend gets mine when he is over there so that could be an option for you if someone you know is off to Turkey on holiday.
I have been taking Tiromel for a number of years now with no problems.
Hope that helps
Please consider that bringing prescription-only medicines into the UK for others (not members of your household) could well be illegal. It would be wrong to ask someone to do so who doesn't fully understand the issues.

Indeed - I used to buy Cytomel online but when they started to have supply problems switched to Tiromel a couple of months ago - have my first blood test on Tiromel tomorrow so we’ll see if it is as good.
Certainly the price is incredibly reasonable even delivered online - around £10 for 100 tablets of 25mcg.
