I recently took a blood sample for Monitor My Health - just to get my vitamin D done . I made a complete mess of it - (I should have used the simple method of the drops of blood on the card using another company but completely forgot about it).
Something happened my blood in the process and they can't do the test. I found the whole process so difficult and the blood was everywhere except in the container.
Is there a simple way to do this so that I can get the blood to drop into the container, that the blood will come out without me squeezing my finger - which I think is the reason the blood wasn't right.
Any advice would be much appreciated. They are sending me another pack to try again. Thank you in advance.

Sunflower535, There is an instructional video near the bottom of the MMH home page which might be worth watching if you haven't already monitormyhealth.org.uk/#
Yes Red Apple, I watched it but it didn't make it any easier to take. I just thought that there should be some easy way of getting it out and into the container. The video makes it all look so simple. For me it just wasn't!! Not to worry I will try again and then forget about it and do the other spot test one which is by far the easiest!. Thank you.
Hi I tried to do my own blood test with similar results. I have very poor circulation so decided to go for a blood draw instead. More expense I’m afraid but hopefully I’ll get accurate results and not go through the discomfort of trying to do it myself.
Doesn't sound like you had an issue getting enough blood out!🙃 I would suggest going for the side of you finger or thumb worked well for me and I do tend to nudge the drip with the high side of the container... no squeezing allowed as you damage the blood
Have you had a look to see if Randox are opening a clinic near you? They are using John Lewis stores also various other ones popping up 🤗
Oh I had a dreadful time with fingerprick tests, I just couldn't do them. I noticed last year that Medichecks were allowing blood draws at special clinics. Yes it costs more but I much prefer that a nurse does that blood draw for me.
The place I ended up going to was the treatment room of a local Superdrug 😊
