I'm looking a check on my recent blood results. For context I am focused on improving my thyroid results and symptoms for general wellbeing and also in relation to fertility.
I introduced some T3 over the past 6weeks but from bloods I can't see that it has improved my bloods too much. Symptom wise I feel generally good do not have the hypothyroid symptoms since starting levo but even more so with the addition of t3. I have also noticed positive improvements in my lh and fsh levels during my ovulation testing.. stronger and on scans more follicles being present, better AMH scores.
In the doctors note they mention I could be at risk of hyperthyroid with a low TSH and to consider reducing medication.
I have updated my bio with previous results and I'd really appreciate some thoughts on whether to keep reduce, keep the T3, increase etc? Or any other thoughts from your read of things.
Thanks a million xo

Last dose was over 24hrs before testing of both levo and t3. Also stopped vit d supplements etc.
I weight approximately 82kg (BMI 29).
Yes I am both gluten and dairy free.
I didn't test those accidentally as I bought the wrong test frustratingly. Last test in Oct vit d was optimal at 62. Ferritin and B12 were high but I was taking an iron supplement which I stopped after GP advice.
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test
So your weight suggests if ONLY on Levo a dose of 130mcg would be likely dose required
Guidelines of 1.6mcg per kilo of your weight
How much levothyroxine were you taking BEFORE adding T3
And which brand
IVF clinic and endocrinologists don’t like suppressed TSH
Thanks Slow dragon. Followed that advice re time of blood test and I'll keep that in mind re next test about exactly when to have the last dose.
I have moved to a new GP so I can ask whether they would consider increasing my levo but with TSH so low and their limited understanding it's often hard to convince them. Which is why I opted to t3. I was taking 100mg and then increase t3 without changing the levo dosage.
I was on accord and recently arista. Felt fine on both types.
Tell me about it I am just off the phone with my previous fertility consultant of our failed IVF. He said when I asked that thyroid has nothing to do with how you would react to the down regulation or stims medication and no impact on ability to get pregnant.
