I had a blood test yesterday as I haven’t felt great recently. Unfortunately as it was a cancellation I had taken my 100 thyroxine that morning. The test was done at 11.40. The nurse said it wouldn’t matter. The result today is 0.67.mu/L. I know they will say this is within the norm and won’t do anything but I still think it’s low. What do people think?

To really know what is going on I'd suggest you grab a finger prick kit we need to know what your fT3 & 4 levels are 🤗
Just testing TSH tells you nothing
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
How much levothyroxine are you taking
Which brand
Has brand changed recently
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 tested
Also both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least once year minimum
What vitamin supplements are you taking
Please add most recent vitamin results
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
Testing options and includes money off codes for private testing
