Hyperthyroidism symptoms

Since having several weeks iodine treatment on leg ulcer I started having a buzzing feeling in chest and sometimes thighs. Worse after eating. Making me feel very anxious. Gp did blood test for TSH level but came back normal (1.22). Have lost weight and wakes me at night too. What other tests could I ask for which may indicate thyroid. I also have ulcerative colitis and heart disease and fibromyalgia but this sensation is really debilitating. Gp has put me on low dose beta blockers but they make my heart rate too low.

Full thyroid testing is comprised of:

TSH

FT4

FT3

TPO antibodies

Tg antibodies

vit D

vit B12

folate

ferritin

Doubtful that the iodine treatment would make you hyper, though - and your TSH is a long, long way from hyper - because excess iodine is anti-thyroid. Although it may stimulate the thyroid in the beginning.

That said, it can trigger Hashi's - aka Autoimmune Thyroiditis - which is why the antibody tests are essential.
