If you enjoy reading fiction, go for it. 🙂

Haha, I definitely don’t! I have heard various stories about the guy but my friend’s husband did celery juice detox and his terrible skin condition cleared. If I didn’t see it myself I wouldn’t believe it! He has struggled for years. So I know the author is crazy but i wonder whether there is something useful in there 🤔

Do you know if he followed the detox to the letter or whether he only drank the celery juice?

Because the full detox involves giving up dairy, wheat, corn, soy, pork and gluten. Just a guess, but going without one of those might be what cleared up the skin condition.

(Confession—I have the book (on Kindle)) I must have been having a looney 5 minutes 😂 But that’s how I can say with confidence that you’d be wasting your money.)

He definitely followed a strict diet too but did this before and it only went after celery juice. Not sure if he is still keeping up with it as my friend and him got separated.

Ok, thanks I won’t waste my money then 😊

Some of the most capable scientists and doctors in the world spend their entire working lives on one area of illness/health. Sometimes one disease. Even one aspect that one disease.

The self-styled "Medical Medium" claims skills to be able to sort out every single one of the following list:

• Acne

• Addiction

• Adrenal Stress

• Anxiety

• Autoimmune Disease

• Bloating

• Brain Fog

• Brain Inflammation

• Chronic and Mystery Illness

• Depression

• Diabetes

• Eczema

• Epstein-Barr Virus

• Fatigue

• Fatty Liver

• Gallstones

• Gout

• Graves’

• Gut Problems

• Hashimoto’s

• Heavy Metals

• Hypothyroidism

• Insomnia

• Lyme

• Mental Health

• Migraines

• Neurological

• Neurological Symptoms

• OCD

• Psoriasis

• SIBO

• Strep

• Thyroid Nodules

• Vertigo

• Weight Issues

For some reason I actually think his principal skill is more likely in persuading people to part with their money than resolving that list of disorder/symptoms.

Is this the guy who was single handedly responsible for the extortionate price of celery a few years ago? The price quadrupled! Same as when making cauliflower rice became all the rage. I don't care about the cauliflower, but it did encourage me to grow my own celery.

gabkad,

Yes.

And, whatever the possible merits of celery, much commercial celery has significant chemical residue from treatments during its cultivation. But typically the controls on such products rather assume "normal" consumption levels. If people consume ten or more times as much, they will also be exposed to ten or more times the levels of chemical residues. This could result in hitting defined limits or even known adverse effects.

And few could afford true organic celery in the quantities required.

Obviously, you are in control if you grow your own.

Further, there seems no scientific explanation as to why celery might have its own benefits. Nor any comparison between stick celery and leaf celery or celeriac. It could be that those other two celery variants are as good, or better, than stick celery.

I thought celery was pretty much just water. I eat celery regularly as I love raw veggies, but for its crunch, not its nutritional value 😋

It does have its own pretty specific taste (and smell). Maybe whatever produces that has some effect? But obviously only in vast quantities. And many modern celery varieties seem to have been selected and bred for ease of commercial growing, storage and transport, and crunch, but not taste.

I have been following the MM books and protocol for two years and have found it to be very healing for my body. I'm not cured but I am in a much better place physically and mentally than I was before. Celery juice is packed full of minerals and gives me an energy boost first thing in the morning and it really helps with IBS.
