Hi can anyone recommend a good all in one supplement? I take so many individual supplements I think I must rattle! Please feel free to PM if you’re not able to give out brand names?

The reason we have to take multiple supplements is that they are tailored to our low vitamin levels and individual needs.

If you ook at most multivitamins they contain relatively low doses of vitamins and combining them can be a bad idea especially with magnesium and iron that need to be taken apart from other vitamins otherwise they prevent absorption of the other ones contained in the supplement.

Believe me I am rattling from having to take a variety of supplements but its what actually works and there is no easy route.

I wasn’t sure if there was one with good levels of selenium and magnesium etc I’m destined to continue rattling.

Be careful supplementing selenium Bollieforme, ie I wouldn’t take more than 100ug per day (unless you have active Thyroid Eye Disease when 200ug is recommended) Doses of above 400ug have been found to be toxic. Care needs to be taken not to supplement with Selenium if you eat Brazil Nuts (as each nut contains between 40-90ug selenium depending on soil quality in region grown).

Now you've said that, magnesium is one vitamin that needs 2 hours either side of other vitamins to absorb properly so you see what I am saying.

I'd also recommend testing your selenium level as having too much isnt a good thing.

We seem to be people that are destined to rattle and part of the territory unfortunately.

Rather than take a multi vitamin, we advise you test key thyroid vitamins (ferritin, folate, B12 and vit D) and supplement these if results are not optimal.

I do seem to have a shelf full of vitamins & family members have implied I rattle too! 🤣

From experience, I would only trial one supplement at once for a couple of months to see if it benefits you. For me, I wouldn’t be without turmeric (with ginger & black pepper) as this helps my circulation. However, there are countless things I’ve tried (that others love) but have done nothing for me (eg black seed oil, clary sage…)

Buddy195 I was interested to read that turmeric helped your circulation. I suffer from really poor circulation with freezing cold extremities. Can I ask how what turmeric supplements you use and how long before you noticed a difference please.

Many thanks

Organic Turmeric Capsules High Strength and Black Pepper with Active Curcumin with Ginger 1380mg - amzn.eu/d/1En5Lii

It took 3 months for me to notice any benefit. Like all supplements, some work better for individuals than others.

Thanks Buddy. I will give it a go although I suspect it may upset my stomach as I have gastritis. Best wishes
