Doctor recs in France

Hello all, if anyone knows of a good doctor within a three hour radius of Rouen, I'm looking for one who is familiar with the various protocols and tests discussed on this forum (cortisol, adrenal support etc). I'm willing to drive or take the train that distance. I believe this forum allows recs by PM. The one I saw in Paris is "non conventionné" and too expensive for the long term, hoping I can find one I can see at "conventionné" doctor's rates but maybe I'm delusional. ETA or non-conventionné somewhere around €100 max. Thanks.

It is fine to ask, and it is fine to reply by Private Message.

But our guidelines do not allow posting to doctor names as recommendations. So please avoid doing so.

I'll leave this open for now as there might be a need for some conversation on this matter.

What type of doctor do you require. An Endo or?

Thanks, Brightness14. Not necessarily an endo, even a GP I can work with for tests and perhaps prescription medicine.

Thanks Brightness, I'm specifically interested in GPs that people have had positive experiences with re thyroid. I am subclinical and would rather avoid all the hassle of explaining why I want certain tests, etc. as stories abound on this and other thyroid forums. In my experience the average GP is not very open to patient input here. My médecin traitant doesn't even like me to say "I need" sick leave" - it is up to her to examine me and *decide* if I need sick leave 🙄 Power trip. At a lab I was discouraged from getting RT3 tested as it is useless... and I was paying with my own money, no scrip! So I'm barely a few months into my thyroid journey and just curious for feedback on good doctors to avoid all this nonsense from the outset, if possible 😊

Do you actually live in Rouen or are you just working there. Go online to find your local GP and make an appointment. If you live in France you will have a Carte Vitale for all your medical needs. If not find a doctor who will just give you an appointment. The cost without a Carte Vitale will be around 25 euros. Take your prior medical details with you blood test results etc.etc. If you cannot find a Generaliste i.e. GP go online to your local CPAM if you speak French or if not use the English Speaking helpline.

I live here, have the Carte Vitale etc and speak French fine. Looking for a doc who knows about T3, RT3, adrenals, vitamins etc. They are few and far between!
