Hello, I have attached my latest results from medichecks and wondered what people’s thoughts were. I have been taking 75mcg for a few months now. Feel ok in myself but still have dry skin, scalp issues and excessive hair shedding. No noticeable patches just all over thinning. I have booked to see a dermatologist but I’m just wondering if I should be requesting to see an endocrinologist? I just feel like even though my levels are in range something still isn’t right. My vitamins are all on the low ‘in range’ scale but I am working on brining these all up. I have also recently cut out gluten. Thank you in advance 🙂
Test results opinions please: Hello, I have... - Thyroid UK
Test results opinions please
was test done early morning, and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test?
FT4: 20.9 pmol/l (Range 12 - 22)
Ft4 89.00% through range
FT3: 4.5 pmol/l (Range 3.1 - 6.8)
Ft3 only 37.84% through range
Shows poor conversion
Looking at previous post
You have (had?) hair loss.
No iron and ferritin results
As you are taking iron supplements you MUST get full iron panel test 3-4 times a year
Never supplement iron without doing full iron panel test for anaemia first and retest 3-4 times a year if self supplementing. It’s possible to have low ferritin but high iron
Medichecks iron panel test
medichecks.com/products/iro...
As you are working on improving low vitamin levels retest again 6-8 weeks after going gluten free
See if/buy how much Ft3 improves
your weight suggests you may need small increase in levothyroxine (87.5mcg per day) …..but see what vitamin and thyroid levels are at next test first
Hello, thank you for your reply.
Yes, test was done early morning with last dose of levo 24 hours before.
I last had a full blood count test in May and everything was ok - except low white blood count.
Ferritin was 66 when last checked so I know this is low and needs improvement.
I will order a full iron panel to check where I’m at.
