TEVA Liquid Thyroxine

I'm having problems getting hold of TEVA Liquid Thyroxine due to manufacturing issues ... I just wondered if anyone else had been having problems too & or had any advice?Thanks

Very difficult to get any liquid levothyroxine at the moment

Can you tolerate any other brands

Thanks for getting back to me ... I've tried some other liquids, but felt dreadful ... Annoyingly I can't remember the make it was so long ago ... I'll happily give ano brand a trial & keep my fingers crossed 😉

If you have to resort to tablets …..perhaps try Vencamil - lactose and mannitol free …but only available in 100mcg tablets

I suggest you contact Teva UK. They do reply. Albeit likely totally unhelpfully. But they just might be able to help with information, etc.

(I've been waiting for a different Teva medicine - unavailable since around March 2022 and none on the horizon. And there is no alternative to that medicine in the UK.)

I'm sorry to hear that ... Yes I have spoken with TEVA, they've been helpful, but manufacturing problems is a wide umbrella that covers a multitude of things! ... The 100mg bottles came into the pharmacy wholesalers & went out of stock within a day ... I hope you're able to find ano solution 🍀

Luckily what I need is over the counter in Germany (though prescription only in the UK). So I can buy from there. A nuisance and it costs. But so much easier than your issue - or those who need T3. And, yes, it is claimed to be a manufacturing issue of some sort.

Glad to hear that 😊 ... Well I've just got back from the pharmacy & the lady called the wholesaler again, spoke to a different person, & they do have it ... You couldn't make this up! ... Panic over until I have to get my prescription again 😁 ... I buy my T3 from , no prescription needed ...
