hi there I finally have new results and full iron panel. Would appreciate any input as I am feeling terrible at the moment. I am supplementing with three arrows currently.
I normally use medichecks so trying to work out these ranges. I am guessing my t4 is too low?
Thank you

You wont be able to compare the ferritin results with Medichecks, there is always disparity between Medichecks and other labs including NHS, it's been a problem for some time and discussed on the forum before. It seems best to stick to one lab for iron results and not compare them.
Potassium and Creatinine look fine.
TSH: 0.9 (0.3-5.0)
FT4: 10.8 (7.9-16.0)
FT3: 5.9 (3.8-6.0)
If you want these interpreted can you please tell us what thyroid meds you take and when you took last dose(s) before the test. These results look like you take combo meds.
Serum iron: 55 to 70% of the range, higher end for men - yours is 18.5% through range so it's low
Saturation: optimal is 35 to 45%, higher end for men - yours is 20% so it's low
Transferrin: Low in range indicates lack of capacity for additional iron, High in range indicates body's need for supplemental iron- yours is 45.63% through range so a pretty good place to be.
I am supplementing with three arrows currently.
Did you leave this off for a couple of days before the test, and did you do the test after a 12 hour fast (water allowed)?
Thank you for replying to me. I am on 1 grain armour and was taking 75mcg of tirisont 5 days a week and 50mcg 2 days a week. I left a 24 hour gap between t4 meds and 13 hours between t3 meds and bloods. Fasting 9am bloods.
I did not take iron supplements for 5 days prior to bloods.
Do you think my t4 is looking on the low side? I self medicate mainly so I am thinking of going back to me 75mcg of tiro daily along with the 1 grain armour.
It's impossible to say where anyone should feel best when on combo meds, only you would know that. Some people are fine with a lowish FT4 as long as FT3 is in the upper part of it's range, some need both FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of their ranges, it's a very individual thing and may need much gradual tweaking individually of the two different hormones to find your sweet spot.
Your serum iron and saturation are low but it's not deficiency. It's a shame they didn't do ferritin at the same time as the rest of your iron panel to get a complete picture. You need a good ferritin level (90-110ug/L) for thyroid hormone to work properly and low ferritin/low iron bring their own symptoms.
Yes I seem to feel alot better when my t4 is 3/4 through the range. With the results how they are I have all my symptoms that have returned with the hair falling out, severe fatigue and muscle aches and weakness. So all hypo symptoms. I am spending most my days house bound and sleeping. I did have nhs ferritin done last month which was 15 on range 15-300. So very low. Started the three arrows supplement's are the bloods last month.
