Ah, cute, what else is there to do on a rainy day although we’ve been able to get a walk in and it still hasn’t rained here. Yet! Number one son sent a text to say the rain in London was unbelievable and that’s only about 35 miles away so we’ve been very lucky I think.

Oh thank you for that, actually we’ve just had a quick shower but it wasn’t all that much. Not considering we are supposed to be getting thunderstorms.

I’ve got my books ready - actually we stopped off at a National Trust book shop on our walk this morning and bought a couple so books are at the ready. I’ll make a coffee and have it with a couple of squares of dark chocolate. Come on rain - I’m ready for you ⛈️☔️🤗

The rain along the coast from London was heavy too, it barely stopped all day. Thankfully it topped up our pond which gets worryingly low in summer. The fish enjoyed it. Lol

I adore rainy days in summer and also strong gales and thunder and lightening. I must be the only person who thinks this is the best summer weather ever! I hated the heat of last year. Detest rain in winter though, I can't do wet and cold. I agree that today is a nice light duvet wrap and read day if you can do it!

This is very apt with Eeyore being a keen rower but isn't the one I fell in love with - it was the scarecrow and donkey together which really melted my heart🫠

Yes I seem to be a woman of fewer words as I get older although my hubby wouldn't agree. So it was in the capable hands of Reggie all this time - I think she must be away at the moment or doubtless she would have responded. Anyway it was really good of you to find it for me😁

I think that is going to be the format for the day for many. Books and washing using the tumble dryer in August! Which is ridiculous but I haven't been able to dry anything on the line in weeks now.

I should be doing a round trip of 30 miles. I think it can wait.
