real bad day
Well Sugarlugs...wish I could fix you...i was suicidal with TSH of 5.5. and T4 of 9. I see yours (if that is correct) is much higher and T4 too low. Am much improved but a lot of tweaking to be done.
So even allowing for how different we all can be you are definitely not within the Normal (accepted by GP/Endos) Have you asked to increase the dose?
Talking about confusion...I am improved but still have issues the least of which is malapropisms!!! Asked the GP could he prescribe something for my excess semen...he looked 'stunned' and I quickly corrected it to sebum!
Not firing on all 'pistons' is another one when I meant to say 'cylinders' Oh deary me.
Mouth goes off when brain is out to lunch!!
Hope you get a snooze in the sun today. Get well soon.

Now if that's an answer that doesn't make you smile and cheer you up nothing will.

Oh Woolywyn, thats the best laugh I have had for a while, its such good medicine. I have the same problem with Miss Malaprop but nothing as funny as yours. Wish I had been there.
Thanks for cheering me up

Thanks Jan being bonkers has it up side. Am turning in to my dear ol Mum.
She loved to tell anyone how close she was to her God daughter and how she was there at her birth and even cut the biblical cord.

This reminds me of a neighbour who once told me her daughter was struggling to get pregnant due to problems with her floating tubes. I had to work really hard at not giggling!.
Ah confused77 makes sense to me..tricky word that fallopean . I enjoy the gaeny deliberates..hysterical rectum etc.,
Sugarlugs, with your results no wonder you feel bad. Rod (Helvella) gave you good advice, I hope you have acted on it
Your photo is just as I looked 15 years ago, the very face of hypothyroidism, I can see and feel your suffering. Be aware as Rod indicated 50mcg levo is just a starting dose. It is disgraceful GP does not see that your TSH is far too high and your T4 rock-bottom.
The main site has much info for you if you have the energy to read it:
From it you can print out chunks for your GP to learn from.
It's interesting what you say about the face of hypothyroidism. Years ago, when accompanying my sister to Dr Skinner, he took one look at me, asked if I was hypothyroid too and what medication I was taking. He recommended I ask my GP to up the dose to 150 mcg....all by looking at my face (luckily not overweight) and I wasn't even his patient! I've not looked back since taking the extra dose and, yes, I think my face has changed too. Please don't give up Sugarlugs...the right medication in the right dose makes all the difference. X
