Can anyone decipher this blood report?

I profess that I am not a medical person and am only vaguely familiar with blood test results, but I hope someone can tell me what all this means. My doctor is referring me to an Endo as she agreed to have my T3 and T4 tested, but it could be many months before I see one.

Thanks for any help in this!

There's nothing in your profile to say if you are diagnosed or not and what if any treatment you are on.

How are you feeling?

Is there a reason you have blocked out the reference ranges of the tests? They are needed to be able to assess where your result false within the range for the particular lab that was used. Ranges vary from lab to lab.

Please share the reference ranges for your lab.

What vitamins are you taking?

I didn't block the ranges... that is the doctor's name on every line for some reason. There were no ranges on the report. I thought my profile had been filled out... sorry. I am diagnosed with Hashimotos, hypothryoid, and rheumatoid arthritis. I take a multi, vite D, B12, zinc and magnesium.

It may be because its a summary of multiple tests that there is no range.

We usually recommend a good methyl B complex to help keep all the B's in balance. This B complex has all the right vitamins at a not unreasonable cost for 90 days supply. amazon.co.uk/Liposomal-Soft...

Multivitamins are not recommended in this group for a number of reasons, including being too low a dose to raise levels to optimal, including iodine which is not recommended when hypo and including iron which prevents absorption of the other vitamins and should be taken apart from other vitamins/Levo.

I can't see a ferritin result which is important.

When on Levo most people feel well when their TSH is at or just under 1. Yours is over 3 indicating you need a dose raise.

Recommended blood test protocol: Test at 9am (or as close as possible), fasting, last levo dose 24hrs before the blood draw, last T3 dose 8-12 hours before blood draw & no biotin containing supplements for 3-7 days (Biotin can interfere with thyroid blood results as it is used in the testing process)? Testing like this gives consistency in your results and will show stable blood levels of hormone and highest TSH which varies throughout the day. Taking Levo/T3 just prior to blood draw can show a falsely elevated result and your GP/Endo might change your dose incorrectly as a result.

Many with autoimmune thyroid disease aka Hashimoto's benefit from a gluten free diet. A smaller percentage of those also need to remove dairy from their diet to feel well. These are intolerances and will not show up on any blood test. It’s worth trialling a strictly gluten free diet to see if it helps symptoms.

Thanks so much Jaydee! I am gluten free, vegan and soy free which I know helps. I think maybe I should go and have the bloods redone at an independent lab as it took a lot of convincing to have my GP do this one!

Ths majority of those results dont have a reference range so it's not possible to comment on them.

TSH does have a range and we can see that your result is near the top of the range at 3.36 (0.30-4.20).

I imagine FT3 is below range as it says "Low".

B12 is very high, do you have B12 injections or are you supplementing?

Do you have a diagnosis of a thyroid condition and are you on any thyroid meds ?

There were no ranges on the report. The redaction is the doctor's name. I do supplement with B12. Have Hashi, hypothyroidism and RA. I'm on 75mcg Levothyroxine and have been for years, but feel awful... no energy, chronic pain, no libido.
