B Complex weird feeling?

I’ve been taking Thorne Basic B for over 12 months now, 1 a day mid morning. not with anything else. It’s been wonderful, nails growing, hair shiny and thicker, tingly/numb arms in the morning also gone.

Just recently I’ve been feeling a weird feeling about half an hour later. Fizzy prickly arms, slight hungry/nauseous. Goes away if I east gf cracker or something.

I will test vits at next thyroid test but that’s about a month away.

Anyone else had this?

I don't know if the forumula has changed at all (I no longer use Thorne) but do you take it with food or on it's own? If you take it on it's own I'd try taking it with food (breakfast or lunch) and see if that makes a difference.

Similar timings and uplift for me, switched to Thorne as my holding dose but on testing recently I have found that they are only sufficient to keep my B12 around mid range so I've started adding a sublingual B12 back in as this was how I originally got my B12 above range, also couldn't get any more Thorne so have swapped to the liposomal gel ones 🤷‍♀️

ah interesting.. I’ll test and see, last time I got my b12 up I was taking an extra separate one. Thanks that’s a good spot. 🌱

When my ferritin was low I used to get all sorts of weird symptoms after eating. Have you changed anything recently supplements or medicines?

I’ve stopped zinc, started three arrows heme (about a month ago) was taking other heme (Optifer and iHerb) with twice weekly lambs liver prior to that. I have that well away from everything else.

I have been having homemade l.reuteri coconut yogurt recently and started a new batch with Gastrus tablets from BioGaia.

That’s all that is different 🤷🏽‍♀️

How are your blood results looking? Did you ever find out if the T3 you are taking is slow release? If it is it might be an idea to try 'normal', immediate release T3?

Testing not due for another month. Roseway wanted me to wait a bit longer than last time. I’ll ask them. Surely slow release would be better than immediate release or am I missing something?

It's just that I have read other admins saying that noone here has done well on the slow release T3. I don't have personal experience of it.

Logically slow release sounds better but in reality that doesn't appear to happen.

ah ok, didn’t know that, thanks I’ll look into it 🌱

One of the only B vits that can cause toxicity is B6, neuropathy and tingling is common with it. Do you get numbness too?

it was the numbness and tingling that was fixed with B Complex… comes back in blood testing week if I don’t take separate B12 and folate, was definitely a reaction after taking it so could well be B6 as you say. I’ll monitor, only have a week left of Thorne and will try Eeyore’s brand next. Thank you 💕🌱

It seems to say online that it has 588% of B6 RDA, so it could be that. Or it could be niacin flush, altho seems unlikely at this point to have that. Be interesting to see what your results say x
