Blanche1960, Nausea and dizziness could be symptoms of either under or over medication. Unfortunatly no way of telling withought blood numbers. If you can afford to do your own home test, that would be quicker than waiting for your GP test. See here thyroiduk.org/help-and-supp...

Could it be that your B12 is low?

Last time I had it checked was quite high but over 6 months since… need to get up to date results but feel it’s due to reduction in Levo 3 wks ago Endo reduced from 150 to 125 as TSH low out of range… but know from experience it’s a big jump for me so been alternating days… tried a wk in chopping in half but didn’t help so gone back to alternating days!

Have long standing migraines most days so any change in meds affects this too… but that’s another story! 😩

Thanks Eeyore

Migraines can cause dizziness and nausea, I got diagnosed with vestibular migraines last year and my main symptoms were feeling light headed, dizzy and unbalanced. I now take daily anti migraine medication and am a lot better.

What were TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 results on 150mcg levothyroxine

ALWAYS test early morning and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Essential to maintain OPTIMAL vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

please add most recent results and ranges

Exactly what vitamin supplements are you currently taking

Which brand is 150mcg tablets

Which brand 125mcg tablets

Hi SlowDragon, the results on 22/5 were:

TSH 0.17 (0.27 to 4.20 )

T4 24 (12.0 to 22.0 pmol )

T3 4.2 (3.1 to 6.8 pmol/L)

Endo Reduced to 125 as symptomatic but no where as bad as now! Only went down to 137.5 as big jump for me!

Protocols followed timings etc, brand of Levo tablets Wockhardt (all 25s) so no brand change, know to stick to same… if possible! Had all 25s because few months ago slowly weaned of Armour so Endo decreased Armour weekly and added 25 Levo weekly till Easter when on full 150… had to ask Gp to prescribe 25s as didn’t want to change brands and wockhardt don’t do 100s apparently!

I’m on Thorne B complex as recommended on here… not had Vit levels checked for a while so will look into this!

Started on Xentiva liquid yesterday same dose!

Thank you

Wockhardt only make 25mcg tablets

Ft4 over range

FT3: 4.2 pmol/l (Range 3.1 - 6.8)

Ft3 only 29.73% through range

So terrible conversion rate

Possibly liquid levothyroxine may help

Next step Endocrinologist adding T3 …..initially adding 5mcg …..and adding 2nd 5mcg dose after week or so

Retesting 6-8 weeks later

Reducing dose levothyroxine…..Ft3 will quite likely now have dropped even lower ……likely low vitamin levels as result

Remember to stop vitamin B complex 5-7 days before tests

During that week take a separate folate and separate B12 instead

Thank you, yeah I did try T3 for 3 months beginning pandemic but took off it as soo dizzy and unwell but M.E was bad too… spent 3 months in bed! Only had 10mcg with 100 Levo… looking back from what I’ve learned on here, should have started on much lower dose, as very sensitive anyway to medication! Tried Armour different doses for a year too but palpations/chest pain really bad so come off it, now back on Levo!

I recently questioned low T3 with Endo but was quickly told I had similar result on NDT so not that making me feel bad… just reduce Levo… end of phone call!! But I realised afterwards my T3 only went that low while on NDT because they lost my prescription at hospital so was without it for 3 wks and had to take Levo instead!

My T3 on Armour went up to 6 (off hand) but T4 under range on 2.5 grains. but was reduced and eventually stopped because of heart concerns and out range low TSH! Think most are same, dosing on TSH levels… wouldn’t have it that it’s ok to go out range… just covering his back suppose with having palpations/chest tightness… I think it’s muscle cramping!

Anyway sorry for long saga just complicated and soo down and unwell!

Ps I did stop Thorne basic before tests!
