Hi for quite a few mornings this week I’ve been waking up really dizzy and a bit lightheaded. Also my fingers have been swollen... I’ve got hypo is this a symptom? It’s either that or my HRT meds. Hate all this feeling ill 🤦🏻‍♀️

You could have something called 'labrynthitis' and I know the symptoms myself and it is very unpleasant. I'll give you a link and you can judge whether you may have this and I couldn't get out of bed or to move head, made everything spin.

GP can prescribe some medication which might help but I think it has to run its course.

Thanks for

Reply. I know about labrynthitis. My hubby got diagnosed with it 15 months ago and turned out to a stroke 😖

My goodness - how long did it take for your husband to get the right diagnosis?

It was horrendous.. first ambulance came out on the Friday morning and diagnosed labrynitis even though he couldn’t stand up and was violently vomiting. We phoned again on Monday morning and they took him in. We complained but nothing happened x

Horrendous is not a strong enough word and we wont know the effect upon us until we can come to terms with such a diagnosis.

You have to put your complaint in writing - verbal isn't sufficient.. A member might be able to tell you who to complain to.

Just to think of how you've both managed from Friday a.m. until three days later when taken to hospital doesn't bear thinking about.

Your doctor might have to prescribe something for yourself.

Have you had your B12 tested? Or your adrenals?

Just waiting for b12 from medicheck. Had the full thyroid check done. I’m wondering if I have got thyroiditis. I feel I’m going around in circles and getting nowhere x

Do you mean Hashi's? Thyroiditis is just swelling of the thyroid. Which, of course, you get with Hashi's. Have you had your antibodies tested?

No just waiting for my test back from medicheck. I posted Monday morning. X

Yes we did complain in writing. My daughter is a nurse and complained about the GP and paramedics. We just got the usual letter saying they did what they felt right at the time 🤷🏽‍♀️ we had so much going on that it was the last thing we wanted to deal with xxx
