How much carbimazole have you been prescribed? Some are also offered propranolol or other beta blocker to help with symptoms.
Have you been referred to an endocrinologist specialist?
You need 6 weekly testing & dose adjustments initially when commencing carbimazole. FT4 & FT3 needs to be tested as going by TSH is not reliable. Check GP & Specialist test FT4 & FT3.
What tests does your book recommend?
You have had your thyroid function & the graves antibody tested. Might be good idea to also have key nutrients folate, ferritin, B12 & vitamin D should be tested as often low with thyroid issues.
When I was referred I also had a gluten test screen & random cortisol.
GP / Specialist may agree to test, may not. Private tests which can be done via post & fingerpick sample might be best option to make quicker progress. Eg Medichecks - advanced thyroid funtion.
