Sourcing Thybon Henning

Hi everyone. I've been a member since February 2022 and read the great info every day but this is my first post asking for help.

I've been taking 40mcg of Thybon Henning 20 on NHS prescription since 2016, with only a couple of supply issues during Brexit. However, the pharmacist rang me last month and said his supplier can no longer access Thybon Henning. He was actually told it's no longer made!

I've been taking Teva instead for three weeks and I'm in agony, all my joints hurt and my stomach's upset. Since I've had no other changes it has to be the Teva that's causing the problem.

I'm due to go into hospital shortly for hip replacement so need to get myself sorted and back on Thybon before then.

I don't have a named prescription. It simply says Liothyronine 20mcg and dosage.

Could you please advise me where I can obtain a regular supply of Thybon.

I'm aware that replies will have to be private, so another question. It's taken me ages to write on this forum. How do I access private replies?

Thank you for the quick reply. A couple of pharmacies on that list I can try. My next prescription is not due for a couple of weeks so I'll check out the best place to send it. I did look at other local pharmacies on the doctors list but unfortunately they're no help.

Update : Thank you again for the list of pharmacies PurpleNails. I also saw a reply from Regenallotment on another post from three months ago which was encouraging. Thank you also SlowDragon for further message. You have all helped my stress levels! I have now booked a phone appointment for 21st June with a prescribing pharmacist from a site on the list and fingers crossed she will be able to help me.

Thanks SlowDragon. I've no problem with getting a generic NHS prescription from my GP "as advised by hospital" since row with GP and CCG(now ICS) when Endo originally prescribed it. Hopefully I can get it dispensed without it being a prescription specific for Thybon.

No chance Endo will give me a private prescription unfortunately, as when I told him I was worried about supply issues three years ago he said if I couldn't get it I'd have to go back onto Levothyroxine! He worries about it costing him his job if he supports me taking anything not UK registered.

I don't mind paying, it's far better than the alternative.

I had actually hung onto a week's supply of Thybon and took one this morning. Chronic joint pain has already disappeared so I know it's the Teva causing the problems.
