Hello I’m after some advice from my favourite knowledgable people again😁
I’m due to test my bloods myself on the 24th of October and I’ve been contacted by the community blood team today to have bloods taken on the 25th,I’ve been referred by the endo as it’s been six months since I started my T3,I was thinking of just going ahead with my own bloods to see the difference as the endo bloods aren’t being done until 9.15 and I’d rather have my antibodies and vitamins checked ,I have a test to use anyway as I couldn’t do them when they were due as I was going on holiday for two weeks and I was due to do them the Monday before I went but was unable to post them due to the postal strike.
Due to being moved on to the capsules I had to drop my T3 from 15mg to 10mg as I wasn’t able to split doses so I started that the day after I went on holiday so that’s why I never used the test when I came back as I wanted to wait the 8 weeks on the new dose,I upped my levothyroxine to 100mg a day as that’s what the endo put me up to when he started my T3,I had enough pills to make the 75mg up until I needed a new prescription,I took 75mg one day and 100mg the next and alternated like that,I’m aware I could’ve got the 75mg from my 100mg pill, after the valuable advice given on here, but I thought I would give the 100mcg a go just to see.
I’m currently taking 100mg of levothyroxine and 10mg of liothyronine a day taken just after 5am in the morning,I know to take last dose of levothroxine 24 hours before the test but as I’m currently taking a 10mcg of liothyronine in capsule form I’m unable to spilt the dose so was looking for some advice on that, any help would be as always greatly appreciated❤️
As far as the endo is aware I’m taking 100mg of levothyroxine and 10mg of liothyronine in the morning and 10 at night,I’m so nervous incase he tries to reduce,or even take away,my liothyronine as I don’t feel I’ve yet reached my optimal level, last bloods I did myself my TSH was below 2 and that’s given me the fear that he tries to stop it🥹
