I struggled to get all my "T" levels and TSH normalized. No matter what we did my medicine wasn't helping.

I read someplace that taking Berberdine and Ceylon cinnamon helps to keep your levels regulated so I decided to give it a try.

I had all kinds of issues not getting my levels up for 2.4 years. I started taking berberine supplements and my levels including tsh leveled out in 1-2 months.

You have to experiment with berberine mg. I went from 20 mg methimazole to 10 mg by taking 1400 mg berberine with 200 mg cinnamon daily. Now I take 933 mg berberine and 66.66 mg cinnamon daily.

I get my levels checked in a month to see if I need to bring down berberine or methimazole again. I'm amazed how fast and how well it worked.

You have to remember that supplements are not regulated which means there might be more Berberdine or more cinnamon than it says on the bottle. So you might want to stick with the same brand and make sure you get your levels checked every two to three months.

Make sure you let your doctor know what you're doing. I'm using Nurture Alley Berberine with Ceylon cinnamon.

There's a lot of research on using those supplements that are acknowledged by some of the medical community. However for some reason many doctors don't believe in holistic cures.

My doctor wanted to kill my thyroid. I'm so glad I learned about Berberdine! Google Berberdine and Ceylon Cinnamon and hyperthyroidism or thyroid or Graves Disease or prediabetes research.

Hello Sweetczz :

i believe I've read of this within the Elaine Moore's Graves Disease and auto immune disease Foundation website - Elaine is Stateside and there is also a forum much like here :

If you don't know of Elaine's research and work it might be useful to register on her forum as well, so you might find fellow Graves patients in your area and learn of who and who not to go to for treatment to keep your thyroid.

elaine-moore.com

I think I also remember reading about a Dr Eric Olansky who has Graves and writes about treating himself with more holistic and alternative options - who also Stateside :

I only found out all this around 8 years after having had RAI thyroid ablation for Graves when I became very unwell and finding no help not understanding of this poorly understood and badly treated auto immune disease I ended up sticking myself back together again.

I'm now self medicating on Natural Desiccated Thyroid and much improved.

Couple of links to the most recent research i have found :-

Sounds good. I've recently discovered British Supplements as a manufacturer and supplier of supplements and they don't add fillers. Pretty good prices too.
