Latest thyroid results….oh dear

Hi all,

I think this could explain my insomnia and night sweats….? Reduce to 125mcg…. from 137.5mcg?

Hoping I dont feel very hypo as I reduce…. but hypo symptoms could also be a symptom of over medication? I swing from feeling hyper to ‘hypo’.

Here are my results

2023:TSH <0.005 (0.27-4.2)

Free T3 5.8 (3.1-6.8)

137.5mcg Levothyroxine 4 months ago:

TSH <0.005 (0.27-4.2)

Free T3 5.9 (3.1-6.8)

150mcg Levothyroxine 6 months ago:

TSH <0.005 (0.27-4.2)

Free T3 5.88 (3.1-6.8)

were tests done early morning and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Do you always get same brand levothyroxine at each prescription

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels last tested

Hi Slowdragon, test was done 26 hours after last Levothyroxine dose, empty stomach except water. I always get same Levothyroxine (Teva). I take vitamin C, D, K2, B complex, zinc, magnesium (4 hours apart from thyroid meds). Stopped vit b one week before test and others a few days before test.

So you’re going to need to reduce levothyroxine dose slowly

Try 125mcg daily

Retest in 6-8 weeks

You may then need small dose T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine if Ft3 is too low
