I haven’t got a doctor yet as I still have my insurance from Ireland. My question is, will most doctors prescribe the meds I need on prescription? I am paying someone every time in Ireland at the moment. I am taking Thybon henning 20 and Tirosint Sol which I am battling to get from Italy .
Thanks for your help !

Levo isn't an issue getting prescribed but Tirosint would be difficult if not impossible to get on the NHS.
Actually for both you are really looking at seeing a private Endo. You can get T3 on the NHS but I think Thybon-Henning is a lot easier to get privately.
For T3 to be prescribed on theNHS it has to be initiated by an Endocrinologist on the NHS who has to agree you need it.
email admin@thyroiduk.org for a list of T3 friendly Endo's.
Depending on how much you are paying in Ireland you may prefer to go private here. NHS appointments are hard to come by and regionally there is variation on what will or won’t be prescribed. Roseway labs is a compounding pharmacy in London, inexpensive compared to private Endo visits and they may be able to get you the same brands that work for you. It’s worth a call to ask them what they could do for you. You can speak to their pharmacist prescriber who makes a private prescription for you 🌱
I will phone them thanks, seems private all the way again then, like in Ireland. Closer to retirement it’s a worry re the cost of what we need! I wish the world would wake up to thyroid patients needs !
