Bringing T3 meds back into uk

Morning lovely people !, a friend of mine is going to greece for holiday ,shes happy to bring me back some T3 but wants evidence of not going to get stopped at customs ,my question is are there any links i can give her to put her mind at rest ,many thanks in advance best wishes Sunny

You are allowed to bring over counter and non-prescription medicines with you when travelling from Britain to another European country and vice versa.

You can Google for links but what you will probably find is about what you are allowed to post and prescription medication.

And as already stated she just needs to walk normally through the Green channel. If she acts funny they will think she is smuggling cigarettes.

Number one - I am not a lawyer.

So far as I can work it out, we are free to import prescription-only medicines such as T3 (liothyronine) for ourselves and our household. We are not allowed to do so for anyone else. Doing so for others could be regarded as "supplying" which is illegal. (This does not apply to Controlled Drugs - which are illegal to import.)

(This is NOT making any judgement - just making sure that you are aware. If your friend brought it in for herself, that is no problem, so long as that is what she honestly says to customs - in the unlikely event she is challenged. If she had some in her cupboard and gave it to you, that would be supplying - if anyone ever found out. Which seems very, very unlikely.)

Tell her to post it ! it;s not narcotics so unless they have a dog that sniffs out T3 you will be fine. Maybe she could send you a few parcels.

It isn't just narcotics, it is any Controlled Drug which people need to be careful about.

I agree that posting might be a good approach.

First of all, you object to searches. If you're forced into it, then it's done "under protest and duress", which should mean that anything found can not be used as evidence.

Secondly, do NOT sign anything. They want you to enter into a contract with them, then they may have real grounds to prosecute.

Thirdly, or maybe this should be first, claim your "inalienable common law rights".

Keep stating that you "do not understand". To understand (in terms of law) means you stand under any legislation they are quoting at you.

do not answer questions - they are probably looking for information / evidence on which to prosecute, and if you don't supply the info, then they probably won't find it.

NB: Not a lawyer, but been doing some interesting reading.
