the hospital have found lymph nodes on my chest have had a underactive thyroid for nearly 70 yrs have been referred to the Endocrinology dept, also have type 2 diabetes which is well controlled. My last doctors blood test was
TSH level O.58 mu/L range 0.35-4.9
Done 2 Feb
My question is could I be going the other way, or could it be graves kicking in, or something else with my thyroid. Suffering with blocked arteries in my legs this was how it was found after a CT scan.

I very much doubt you are looking at Graves - why do you think this ?
If you are going on just this low suppressed TSH - once on any form of thyroid hormone replacement the TSH is not a reliable measure of anything and we should all be dosed on our Free T3 and Free T4 to be balanced in the ranges at around a 1/4 ratio once our T4 is up in the top quadrant of its range.
Your last post showed a T3 under the range and with very poor conversion.
Were you able o discuss these last blood test with your doctor and get any help then ?
A diagnosis of Graves would need for your TRab or TSI antibodies to be over range and positive - has this blood test analysis been undertaken ?
thanks indeed for your help, just clutching at straws to find out whats causing it. My Dr mentioned when he reduced my dose that I could be going the other way. Have appointment with a private endo in April. Cannot get anything sooner unless a cancellation comes up. But thanks for prompt reply.
Yes Hashimoto's can throw a spanner in the works and if your antibodies are high it can make you feel a bit anxious and hyper but when this attack on your thyroid is over you will be left further compromised and likely needing a dose increase in your thyroid hormone replacement.
You might like to read round on Dr Izabella Wentz website as I read many forum members find her advice and suggestions most useful - thyroidpharmacist.com
thanks indeed for your kind reply much appreciated. Just want it sorted so they can sort my arteries out, feeling she wants everything else sorted first. Before she will make a decision what she will do. Which is probably correct in the long run. But thanks again for your help from this brilliant site
