Has anyone used Ozempic for weight loss after total thyroid removal to help with weight loss?

leibli, As you've had a total thyroid removal, you are presumably now taking thyroid hormone replacement? If so, what are you taking and at what dose?

It may not be a good idea to take anything for weight loss until you have been on a stable dose of thyroid hormone replacement for some time. Getting that right should be your first priority. Weight issues often resolve once thyroid hormone levels are sorted out.

agreed! I’m on my 4 th week of synthroid at .137mg daily but I’m so bloated and tired going to see the surgeon on April 5 and get bloods done hopefully he can get me on the right path!

My weight didn't resolve. I have read a lot about this and TBH it's not looking good. According to the Sunday Times, as soon as one stops having the injections, the weight piles on again. There are no present studies on having these injections long-term. I am monitoring Elon Musk to see what happens to his waistline. Mind, it's quite a reveal he's had...and I do lurve an intelligent man...
