Don't you just love dealing with prescription changes 🙄

Just to continue my saga...

Endo requested a drop to 75mcg T4 and stick with 10mcg T3

I fired back saying no thanks I'll stick with 100mcg Vencamil and 15mcg T3 as blood all well within range... except TSH 😐

Just noticed my prescription has changed... so I won the T3 battle and lost the T4!! 😅

Levothyroxine sodium 75microgram tablets

28 tablet - take one each morning as per Endocrinologist

Last Issued: Never

Liothyronine 5microgram capsules

84 capsule - Take 1 three times a day ( total daily dose 15mcg ) (Roma Brand)

I've just sent them a message asking that they correct my T4 to show Aristo lactose free Vencamil (as previously prescribed) which only comes in 100mcg, rather than the useless vague script they have added....... the fun and games continue! 😬

I had horrible time with prescription changing I finally threw a fit and now I get exactly the pill I need …. Good luck although you shouldn’t need luck they should just do it.

I feel your frustration I think a lot is he cost of these meds. I can only get Levothyroxine by my gp and it Doesn’t help when the pharmacist just hands out whatever brand they’ve got instock.

Yeah, first things I learnt are don't trust a GP to actually write it correctly and don't let the surgery fill the prescription because like you say they give you whatever is to hand also... totally ignoring the Lactose Free on the script 🤷‍♀️... I go to an Independent Pharmacy who are a lot more switched on and customer orientated thankfully 🙏🙃

It's a 15 mile round trip rather than a 5 minute walk to the GP's but so much less hassle
