Extremely low temperature

I’ve attached my most recent results from Jan 23 - 25mcg Levo and 45mcg Liothyronine I have since increased my Levo to 50mcg and on the whole feel better than I have in a long time from a hypo perspective. I’m struggling with neuropathy in hands and feet as well as an arthritic knee. I had loading doses of B12 last September to help this but no more (awaiting rheumatology appointment to explore this and inflammation markers being on the high side ). My problem at the moment is over the last few weeks I’ve been experiencing a slump in the mid afternoon that requires a Power Nap for half an hour but more worrying is extreme cold - my temp was always around the 36.2- 36.6 but just lately it’s often 35.4 and sometimes even lower with a top end of 36.1 and I really feel it. I know it’s winter but even in a house that’s around 20 degrees I’m sat with a hot water bottle and blankets- any suggestions?

You have Hashimoto’s and taking long term PPI

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

ESSENTIAL to maintain optimal vitamin levels, that frequently means supplementing vitamin D, Magnesium and vitamin B complex daily. With PPI you may need daily separate B12 and possibly iron supplements

Test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 at least annually

Are you on strictly gluten free or dairy free diet

was test done early morning and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

Day before test did you split T3 as 3 smaller doses with last 1/3rd of daily dose approximately 8-12 hours before test

You may need to reduce liothyronine SLOWLY as you increase levothyroxine

Currently Ft3 is perhaps too high at 80% though range

Many people find they need both Ft4 and Ft3 at least 50% through range

Retest 6-8 weeks after any dose change or brand change in levothyroxine or T3

Yes tested early and previous doses as per usual protocols. I split my T3 into two 25 and 20. I supplement magnesium, selenium and vit D. Not gluten free or dairy. I trialled GF for about 6 months but with no improvement and hated every minute. I haven’t trialled dairy free yet.

Thank you. Any advice for when/how to administer a B complex to ensure absorption given that I take PPI’s twice daily? I’ve tried to reduce them/go without/improve gut health etc but the gastritis is unbearable without them. I never had gastritis- I was only given them because I was on long term pain meds - which I now don’t need since improving my thyroid hormone levels. I’ve subsequently developed a hernia and also gastritis.

Which vitamin B complex are you currently taking

On PPI likely to need separate B12 and magnesium daily. Possibly extra folate too

@SlowDragon I don’t currently take a B complex. I don’t take B12- previously had high levels until last autumn when they reduced significantly from normal and I had the 6 loading injections. The result for B12 posted below is 3-4 months after these injections and without any further supplementation of B12. The last results for folate 4.6 ng/ml [3 - 20] ferritin 37 ng/ml [15 - 200] are low but GP says are satisfactory.
