I posted a couple of weeks ago about my sons latest blood test results and the appalling gp follow up, my letter of complaint and their response ...and consequently made an appointment to see the original private endo who diagnosed his hashimotos in 2016. He was really cross my son was taken off thyroxine and has put him back on it today ....he agreed with everything you kind folks had advised me to do so thank you for that. He is writing to the GP today telling them to reinstate treatment and also as his MH is no better than the last time he saw him In 2019 to refer him for specialist treatment to ascertain he does not need a specific diagnosis and treatment possibly for complex PTSD ..hopefully we will make progress now .. endo has said if gp doesn't support my son he will continue to do so through his nhs clinic ..I could have kissed him which as he is easy on the eye would not have been bad 😏

🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 so so so pleased for you and your son. There are gems out there if you can find them. Keep your son on his books. GP needs shooting! But alternatively so you don't end up in prison you could report him/her to the GMC. Xx

Brilliant news

Well done

A profound apology from GP and previous endocrinologist who stopped his levothyroxine would be nice ……but don’t hold your breath

Oh crikey hadn't realised it was another endo that stopped the flow. 2 shootings required then!! 🤣Seriously though its shocking that such a vital medication can just be stopped like that. And very scary.

Yes completely stopped, was on 100mcg levothyroxine and never had blood retested for 2+ years after stopping

very pleased to hear it . your post has restored my faith that 'surely some endo's out there must have some common sense' .... it was waning a bit, i have to say.
