Hello all,

Updated tests just back and need help interpreting if possible please!

TSH 4.01 mIU/L (range 0.37 - 4.2)

FT3 4.5 pmoI/L (range 3.1 - 6.8)

FT4 12.1 pmoI/L (range 12 - 22)

TgA 239 IU/ml (range 0 - 115)

TpA <9 IU/ml (range 0 - 34)

White Cell Count 2.19 (range 3 - 10)

Neutrophils 1.37 (range 2 - 7.5)

Lymphocytes 0.56 (range 1.2 - 3.65)

CRP 1.8 mg/L (range 0-5)

Cortisol 436 nmo/L at 7am (range 133-437)

whilst my TSH isn’t over it is upper end, TgA is high at 239 and white blood cells etc obviously indicating something not quite right. Everything else in my list was in range. Medichecks dr mentioned Hashimotos?

Historically my TSH levels have been in the low 1.1 - 1.3 range previously.

Any pointers gratefully received as going to go and see GP as not feeling great. For info I am 1 year recovered from Stage III Colon Cancer so I am still building stamina but have had recent sudden extensive hair loss, very dry skin and cracked heels, brittle nails that are down to the quick and sooo tired 😴 I’d like to be prepared before I see GP as when I went to them 2 years ago with bowel cancer symptoms I was told I was fit and healthy despite being Stage III (very nearly Stage IV and incurable, so don’t have a lot of trust left for doctors as you can imagine!). I’m 52 and take body identical HRT gel/progesterone.

Many thanks all 💖 x

Next step

Request GP test vitamin D, folate and B12 levels

Also full iron panel test including ferritin

hair loss frequently linked to low iron levels

Was this test done early morning?

As this is first “abnormal “ thyroid test ……Retest again in another 6-8 weeks

NHS won’t usually diagnose autoimmune thyroid disease on just high TG antibodies

Medics rarely call autoimmune thyroid disease Hashimoto’s here in U.K.

Many thanks SlowDragon

Vit D, Folate, B12, Iron & Ferritin all normal (great in fact) - test was done at 8am after 14 hr fast

saw GP this afternoon and re test is being done in 8 weeks - Medichecks UK test centre flagged “Hashimotos” in their blood test results info so just going in what they mentioned.

Thank you so much for your info and reply much appreciated will update in 8 weeks!
