I joined this community because we have a couple of issues going off here.
My Wife has had operations for Chrohns . This has left her with a vitamin B12 deficiency, extreme tiredness etc. She was previously prescibed monthly B12 Intramuscular injections.
Our GP has changed this to bi-monthly, at first he changed it to tri-monthly periods.
The result being she is continuously tired , often exhausted.
Me, I have been recieving 3 monthly steroid injections for Ankylosing Arthritis. I was admitted to hospital recently and diagnosed by Endocrinologist with Iatrogenic dependence on Prednisolone . 2 years on I am still trying to get off daily Steroid tablets. Strongly Suspect my Adrenals have failed.
Thank You my "Wonderful NHS"😩

Just so you know, this part of the forum is for people who have either underactive or overactive thyroids. Do you or your wife also have a thyroid issue to contend with?
The reducing of the frequency of B12 injections is awful—I sometimes despair of our medical community who seem to have no concept of how B12 disorders work (or rather, don’t work). They shouldn’t use blood tests to decide how frequent the jabs should be—B12 levels are always high in a patient who has B12 jabs but that doesn’t mean that the person has sufficient available B12. 🤦🏽♀️
There is a very good B12 forum here at Healthunlocked healthunlocked.com/pasoc - they should be able to assist with the wording of a case to get your wife’s jabs reinstated on a more frequent basis. No promises that your GP will listen but it’s definitely worth a try.
I don’t know very much about adrenal failure but I know that others here do so hopefully one of them will see this and pick it up.
Sadly our NHS is on its knees and the training of new doctors isn’t all that it should be—it’s a dangerous combination.
