Prednisolone eye drops

My husband has been prescribed prednisolone eye drops 2 a day for his eye inflammation due to TED. It looks like they are very pricey so he will ask his GP to write him a prescription. I wonder if any of you used those drops and what were the results?

Don’t know what they cost but try and get a preservative free version if you can.

I’m not sure why the consultant who prescribed them first hasn’t asked his GP to continue to prescribe them.

They do not appear to be particularly expensive on NHS tariffs:

(If I have the right product.)

Retail price could well vary but as they are prescription-only medicines that would only matter if you have private prescriptions. In which case, shop around.

Yes, we have a private prescription so maybe that’s why is so expensive.

Every pharmacy might charge a different price. Ring up to get quotes.
