Hi so I have my results!

Hey,

In response to my previous posts about me having blood tests because I feel really tired and lethargic a lot of the time and shouldn't really at my age.

I have had a lot of test results come back, I also asked for T3 to be done as well and doesn't look like it has been done. But I shall post all of them, sorry there are a lot of them, but if anyone sees anything that doesn't look right please let me know. I have been told by the doctors receptionist that they are all fine.

It looks like I have to post them all separately. This may take some time.

Kind regards.

fT3 had been done , it's the top result 'free tri iodothyronine :)

please could you add the image of the other results to a reply to this post , rather then in a separate post .. makes it easier for everyone to deal with if replies stay together on one post .

No B12 or folate

Or thyroid antibodies

Ft4 is very low

Might improve as Ferritin levels increase

Have you seen any reduction in fatigue as ferritin has increased

Suggest you get full thyroid including thyroid antibodies and all four vitamins retested in another 2 months

Meanwhile continue improving low iron/ferritin

all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

List of private testing options and money off codes

thyroiduk.org/getting-a-dia...

Medichecks Thyroid plus antibodies and vitamins

medichecks.com/products/adv...

Blue Horizon Thyroid Premium Gold includes antibodies, cortisol and vitamins

Only do private testing early Monday or Tuesday morning.

Watch out for postal strikes, probably want to pay for guaranteed 24 hours delivery

Hiya again sorry to bother you again with this I am just unsure what else to do, I have just rang my doctors again to see if they can help and they just said there is nothing they can do for me as all results of mine are all fine.

I am really exhausted and I am struggling every day to get through work.

What can I do with the results I have posted is there anything I can do with those ? Like go on anything , can I buy anything to help.

My doctors won't give me any more tests so that isn't an option for me right now. I just have to do what I can with the results I do have at this time.

Kind regards.

With such low Ft4

You need to test BOTH thyroid antibodies

Will need to do so privately

Medichecks or Blue horizon cheapest

If both antibodies are negative

An ultrasound scan of thyroid

Vitamin levels

Look reasonable

Ferritin aim to improve to at least 70 and nearer 100 likely better

A daily vitamin B complex to help B12 and folate

What’s your diet like

Any suggestions of food intolerances….gluten, dairy, etc?

Avoid all soya products

Hiya,

Okay with the anti bodies I had that done last time with T4 and TSH. Then I got told I needed T3, so I have just got that one done but not the anti bodies this time.

Last time it was 1 Iu. Everytime I ask for them all I don't get it. So this is all I can do right now, as I don't have the money to go private unfortunately.

Okay thank you I think I will up my iron does to 2 tablets a day.

I Will also go on vitamin B complex, I will get that soon!

My diet is mainly bananas, full fat yogurts, veg and lentil pasta, potatoes, eggs and cheese. I don't really eat meat only chicken occasionally and fish rarely, and oat milk , not cows milk.

Many thanks.

What were antibodies results?

Suggest you consider broadening your diet

Eat the rainbow.

Increase level of protein and good fats

sunflower022 in reply toSlowDragon

This was my anti bodies test last time in photo. I will eat more of that, just not keen on red meat.

But I will up my iron and get some vitamin b complex, is there a certain strength on that I need ?

Many thanks

This was the T4 and TSH last time as well but they didn't do the T3 that time. But this time they did, in the results I posted earlier has T3.

Ferritin was severely deficient

Moreover, ID can disturb the functioning of the immune system, increasing the risk of autoimmune disorders

Presumably an NHS test

TPO antibodies are negative

NHS won’t test Thyroglobulin antibodies unless TPO are positive

Significant minority of Hashimoto’s patients only have high TG antibodies

So to test TG antibodies you will need to test privately

Medichecks or Blue Horizon offer testing of both antibodies

Good morning.

So the anti bodies being negative on them results is that a good sign ?

This is all very new to me so definitely needed this help thank you.

Would TG antibodies be the only one I would need now or would I need all of them doing again? Like all at the same time.

With the ferritin and the b12 being low in previous results I think that is where I should start, I have upped my iron tablets last night and I will go out and by some vitamin b complex. Also I pulled myself off vitamin D3 last night as I was taking 4000 iu a day for quite some months, I have just seen on the Internet it can cause a lot of the problems I am getting such as being achy, weakness and headaches, so that could now be a factor to all this.

Kind regards.

SlowDragon profile image
SlowDragonAdministrator in reply tosunflower022

It’s not possible to only test TG antibodies

The test info I gave you is cheapest option

Antibodies only need testing once

What was Vitamin D level before starting on supplement

Retest levels now

NHS easy postal kit vitamin D test £29 via

vitamindtest.org.uk

sunflower022 in reply toSlowDragon

Okay I Will have to wait a while to get this because it already cost me money to keep having these blood tests done as I have to have time off work.

I am unsure of levels of vitamin d , that test I have just had done for it is the only one I think I have ever had on that. Which was only last Thursday I had that vitamin d done. And that is being on the 4000 iu for quite some months!

Kind regards

SlowDragon profile image
SlowDragonAdministrator in reply tosunflower022

Sorry forgot you had vitamin D test result there

125nmol is good result

Don’t stop supplementing completely

Perhaps reduce vitamin D to 1000iu per day

Retest in summer

sunflower022 profile image
sunflower022 in reply toSlowDragon

Hi

Okay I won't stop completely with the vitamin D3 but I am going to just stop taking the 4000 iu until I get the 1000iu instead do you think that will be okay to do that?

Thank you.

Hi

I was just wondering quickly what vitamin b complex is best to get ? Is there a specific strength I need etc?

Kind regards

SlowDragon profile image
SlowDragonAdministrator in reply tosunflower022

B vitamins best taken after breakfast

Thorne Basic B recommended vitamin B complex that contains folate, but they are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule)

Thorne currently difficult to find at reasonable price, should be around £20

If you want to try a different brand in the meantime, one with virtually identical doses of the ingredients, and bioavailable too, then take a look at Vitablossom Liposomal B Complex. Amazon sometimes has it branded Vitablossom but it's also available there branded as Yipmai, it's the same supplement

amazon.co.uk/Yipmai-Liposom...

or available as Vitablossom brand here

hempoutlet.co.uk/vitablosso... &description=true

Or

Igennus Vitamin B complex. Nice small tablets. Full dose is 2 tablets per day. Most people are fine with just single tablet

igennus.com/products/super-...

IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results

Thank you for all this information

SlowDragon profile image
SlowDragonAdministrator in reply tosunflower022

online will be far cheaper

Unlikely to get these in health shop

sunflower022 profile image
sunflower022 in reply toSlowDragon

Which b vitamins would you suggest out of those that are the best ones in tablet form? Kind regards

Hey, so yea I had these tests done early in the morning and also came off my iron tablets about 5 days before these tests were done. I actually had a thyroid anti bodies done last year I will attach those results to this comment.

My fatigue I thought was getting better for like a couple of weeks but now I am not seeing any improvement yet. So I feel knackered!

I am only taking 210mg a day of ferrous fumarate, maybe I should up that?

Kind regards.
