How to private message

I would like to private message someone on the site, but can't it seems to have changed.

How do I go about it please.

Another "improvement" by HealthUnlocked that seems to be a backward step 🙄

Two ways to do it:

1) Click on the member's user name which takes you to their profile page.

Click on START CHART.

There will be a pop up that is headed NEW CHAT and you have to put the member's name in the box where it says SEARCH PEOPLE. A list of suggestions will come up whilst you're typing their name, when you see the member you want click on their name then NEXT and you'll get the message box to start your chat.

2) Click on the CHAT icon at the top of the forum page.

On a PC (may be different on another device) you will see on the left a box that says NEW, click on that and then you get the same SEARCH PEOPLE box as above so follow the advice from then on in (1) above.

What a palavar! Most of us struggle with brain fog, etc, so they make this so much harder to do!

Thank you it used to be so simple. It reminds me of the old saying. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Just do what you used to do - press on the ' chat ' icon above - looks like a paper plane.

and if someone is trying contacting you by PM this icon lights up for you reply to :

If you are reconnecting and trying to reach an established ' chat' person you'll see the person on your list of PM people - it's just that the format of this list has changed.
